<p>A Science of ECD resource package is comprised of digitized curriculum elements
(“software”) and related explanatory written materials
(“documentation”). “Software” includes any upgrades, modified
versions, updates, additions, and copies of any of the constituent curriculum elements.
“You” means the person or company who is being licensed to use the
software or documentation. “We” and “us” means Red River
College of Applied Arts and Science, Winnipeg, Manitoba.</p>
<p>We hereby grant individual license holders a nonexclusive, non-transferable,
limited license to use one copy of the software on any single computer, provided
the software is in use on only one computer at any time and only for the
licensee’s personal use. The software is “in use” on a computer when it
is accessed from any physical storage device (e.g. CD-ROM, DVD), or from any
network (e.g. Internet, corporate intranet or extranet, Learning Management
System). The projection of any software component for other than personal use (as in a
classroom or group setting) requires a projection license.</p>
<p>Network distribution must be restricted to licensed users, and access must be
password protected to prevent unauthorized access. An institution may not provide
video components in a down-loadable, storable, and/or handheld portable format
(digital, analog, or otherwise) for use by students, staff or faculty members for
future viewing, duplication, or retransmission. Additionally, the video may not
be preloaded onto any portable video viewing devices (e.g. PDAs, iPods,
computers or any other devices which may be used as portable viewing devices). We retain
the sole rights to provide down-loadable, storable, preloaded, and/or portable
video directly to users.</p>
<p>Course-ware components may not be delivered or used in a way that disparages or
degrades the original educational intent or purpose of the video content.
Replication or duplication of any software components is strictly prohibited, whether
accessed from a physical device or from a network. Any use, bundling,
unbundling, or re-purposing of any package element to create separate or derivative works
may constitute an infringement of copyright and is strictly prohibited.</p>
