The Science of Early Child Development, International Edition utilizes select
material from the 2nd edition of SECD. This is combined with additional relevant
research, documents, links and videos to make a learning tool relevant to
developing countries as well as early childhood development professionals interested
in a global perspective on early childhood development matters.
In each module you see a combination of readings, videos, links to important websites, examples, audio clips, questions for reflection and interactive games. SECD, International Edition features video from East Africa, including
interviews with experts, parents and community members from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda
and examples of children’s programs.
SECD, International Edition was completed in the spring of 2008 and is currently
being reviewed by key international agencies, programs and individuals involved
in early child development.
